Venison or Beef Pisole Stew


You will need:
 
1/2 lb. ground venison or beef
1 medium Green Pepper (roughly chopped)
1 medium white onion (roughly chopped)
2 Tsp. Pepper
2 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Crushed Garlic
1 Tbsp. Ground Cumin
1 15oz. can Dark Red Kidney Beans
1 15oz. can Hominy
1 Tbsp. Chilli Powder
1 1/2 Cups water
 
     To a heated frying pan, add meat, green pepper, onion, garlic and 1 tsp. each of salt and pepper.  Brown and drain.
     In a stockpot, combine browned meat mixture with remaining ingredients.  Bring to a boil.  Reduce to medium temperature and simmer for 30 minutes stirring often.  Serve with Frybread.



SAVORY MEATBALLS

You will need:
 
1lb. Ground Beef
1lb. Ground Pork
2 Eggs
3/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
2 Tbsp. Oregano
1 1/2 Tbsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Pepper
I Tbsp. Chopped Garlic
1 1/2 Tbsp. Cayenne Pepper
2 Tbsp. Parmesan Cheese (Optional)
1/4 Cup Tomato Sauce
 
     Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly by hand.  After all ingredients are incorporated completely, form into 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls and line up on an ungreased baking sheet approximately an inch apart.
     Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for about 10 to 15 minutes.  Add to your favorite hot pot of red sauce.  Serve after simmering for about 10 minutes.
