Since the end of the Clinton Presidency and that
year's televised appeal of the plight of Leonard Peltier, very little exposure to Native issues has existed in the East.
In many places with still substantial Native populations, it media exposure to our causes does not exist at all.
Though other ethnic groups throughout the United States are
regarded as strong forcus groups for political parties, the Native American continues to be broadly ignored. Prejeduce
and ignorance abound. Land and Treaty Rights contintue to disappear purposefully kept under the radar of mainstream
Amerikka. Questionable incarcerations continue in remote areas where most whites will not question the establishment.
When the everyday American encounters an indigenous person,
they almost immediately bombard them with a cornacopia of stupid questions and rediculous assumptions. Whereas a person
would not dare ask a black, a latino or a muslim such personal and invasive questions, we are viewed as museum exhibits who
are obligated to disclose the most personal information regarding our religion and culture almost immediately upon contact.
